Debbie Torres, InStitches Embroidery
Debbie explained how she can take virtually any logo and embroider it onto almost any material. According to Debbie, when you are embroidering an image, you have to plan and know which elements of the design you will embroider first.
Debbie has over 30,000 designs that can be embroidered and she can combine portions of those designs to come up with a totally unique design for your needs. Debbie is very experienced in looking at design and determining which designs will work on which materials. She has techniques to simulate feathers, fur, hair growth and other textures. She also knows what threads, fabrics and backings will survive through the years of environment exposure and washing.
Raul Baeza, Gemini Carpet and Stonecare
Raul brought in a sample carpet and spilled Heinz Ketchup, Louisiana Hot Sauce and Tabasco Sauce on it.
He explained that depending on your fabric and depending on the chemicals in the spill (vinegar, tomato, grease), you have to know which chemicals to use in what order you should apply those chemicals.Raul brought in a professional carpet cleaning machine to show his process of removing spills and stains.
REMEMBER! The longer you wait to clean the spill or stain, those chemicals stain the carpet and become part of the fabric, which cannot be removed. Ink, Coolaid, and other dye products are very damaging to your carpet.
Stone is being used more frequently now and there are many types of stone. Stones are porous and if you try to clean the stone with the wrong chemical, the stone will soak up the cleaner and create calcium deposits or other kinds of deposits.
TIP: When you have a spill, don't scrub the stain because it spreads the stain. Always blot. Spills to get to quick are coolaid, ink, animal stains and grease.
Some jobs are easy, but quite a few are very difficult, but Raul has done his research and he is very professional when it comes carpet cleaning and stone care.
